COVID Policies

Infection Control Policies

At Diamond House Detox, we prioritize the health of our clients and staff. To minimize your risk of exposure to COVID-19 and to keep our staff safe, we have implemented the following infection control policies. These protocols will continue throughout the pandemic’s active phase.

Verify Your Insurance

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

As a client, you must wear at the minimum an N95 or comparable mask when you use common spaces or when you’re near other clients. We will provide you an N95 mask if you do not have one. Our staff will wear PPE any time they provide client care or come into contact with others, including clients and other personnel if necessary. Required PPE includes face masks and shields, gloves and other coverings like isolation gowns. Our staff will all be required to wear N95 masks at all times while at work.

We will sanitize our hands before putting on PPE, including gowns, gloves, masks, goggles and face shields. Our staff will always change gloves between helping one client and the next, or when we believe our gloves might be contaminated.

Transportation of Clients

When we provide client transportation, you must wear your mask at all times. For your safety, you must sit in the back seat and cannot sit in the front seat with the staff. When weather conditions allow, we will open the windows for maximum ventilation in the vehicle.

Client Services

You enjoy the outside areas while staying with us but you must abide by safety protocols such as wearing a mask and social distancing. Mask-wearing policies will be enforced during all activities except smoking, eating and exercising. You must follow social distancing guidelines at all times while inside common areas.

We will disinfect the affected area and any items that come into contact with staff or clients.

Other Precautions: Disinfection and Cleaning of Facility and COVID-19 Testing

We disinfect common areas, accessible surfaces and high-traffic objects like doorknobs. We also disinfect restrooms, smoking areas and vehicles between uses.

All clients are required consent to test for COVID via a nasal swab upon admission and bi-weekly thereafter. Staff are also required to test bi-weekly. The data will be shared with Sacramento Public Health to minimize spread of COVID.
