At Diamond House Detox, we see our residents as more than just clients. When you became a client at Diamond House, you become a part of our extended family. And as your family, our goal is to give you a place you can turn for support in every step of your recovery. Whether you want a familiar face to turn to or ongoing support with others like you, you’re always welcome to walk back through the doors of our treatment center.

Who Leads Our Alumni Program at Diamond House?

When you join the Diamond House alumni program, you can expect to see some familiar faces. That’s because our program is run by alumni and supported by staff.

We feel that this type of partnership is essential to building bridges for everyone who joins the Diamond House family. By having all voices at the table, we can ensure that our alumni program meets your needs today, tomorrow and into the future.

Diamond House Alumni Are Welcome Wherever They Live

The world has changed. People are moving to new places, taking different jobs and sometimes working remotely. As an alumnus of Diamond House, you can still stay connected with us and other people who have been through treatment, no matter where you live. Connections are critical to continued steps toward a lifetime of sobriety.

Every Saturday, our alumni program offers a virtual meetup via Zoom at 10:00 a.m. These gatherings can help you stay on track, share your experiences and remain motivated to continue your progress.

If you’re living near any of our Diamond House Detox facilities in California, you’re welcome to join us for in-person events. These are held monthly and include a variety of activities to promote positivity, support and camaraderie.

We Want to Connect With You

We understand that your journey doesn’t end when you check out of our detox facility. Addiction is a chronic disease and requires ongoing treatment that might last years beyond your physical detoxification. We’re committed to your recovery, which is why we welcome you to connect with us as part of our alumni program.

We hope this support provides a smooth transition between your stay at our facility and returning to your everyday life. What’s more, we want you to feel continual companionship with our team and the alumni community so that you know you always have a helping hand to turn to, leaning on people who understand what you’re going through.

Ongoing Support Groups at Our Sacramento Treatment Facility

During your time at Diamond House Detox, we hope you found our support groups safe and beneficial in your recovery. We want you to enjoy lasting companionship and healing with these programs, which is why we’ll be glad to welcome you back to your favorite support groups even after your stay at our facility. Or maybe you didn’t feel comfortable joining a program while you were a client, but now you’d like to check one out. You’re welcome to join at any time as an alumnus of our center.

We currently offer the following programs:

  • Alcoholics Anonymous (AA): AA is open to anyone recovering from alcoholism. Its spiritual-based 12-step program provides hope to millions of people around the world.
  • Narcotics Anonymous (NA): NA was created as a 12-step alternative to AA that focuses on drug addictions. Members of this peer-led group encourage each other to stay sober by holding each other accountable.
  • LifeRing: For those seeking a secular treatment option, LifeRing encourages its members to find healing through their inner strengths and the power of positive social reinforcement.
  • Refuge Recovery: Refuge Recovery guides its members to ongoing recovery through Buddhist teachings and meditation. This program is enjoyed by people worldwide who are looking for a non-traditional support group alternative.

Support Others Like You in Their Recovery

One of the most significant parts of the recovery process to many people is knowing they aren’t alone. If you’d like to be a support system to people like you as they go through detoxification, we welcome you to come back to encourage others in their recovery. Share your stories and coping strategies, and be the accountability partner someone needs as they journey toward sobriety. Just get in touch, and we’ll be glad to show you how you can reach out to our current residents.
