I am loving my experience at Diamond House. The staff is kind, supportive and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this treatment program for anyone seeking addiction treatment.
The house is clean and beautiful, the rooms are spacious, the 3 home-cooked meals a day are delicious. Everyone on the staff is amazing. The support you receive from both staff and your peers has been better than any therapy session I’ve been in. This is a safe and therapeutic place to talk about all your feelings and fears. The group sessions include relapse therapy, relaxation therapy, emotional therapy, exercise therapy, art therapy and music therapy. (To name a few) They teach you how to cope with everyday stress and anxiety. I’ve learned a lot and have enjoyed the journey and I am enjoying taking care of me and finding myself again.
I now BELIEVE that when I am ready to leave (shortly) that I will be completely prepared with the tools I have been provided here to live my life clean and sober. I’m excited about my future!!
I was in Diamond House (DH) in December 2018. I am an alcoholic addict with PTSD and depression. I arrived at DH late in the evening of the 26th. I was scared to death. Fear gripped me because I had not been away from my family in more than 23 years. I was also experiencing heavy withdrawal and was afraid of what the detox would bring.
I had been trying to detox myself for a few months and no matter how hard I tried to get clean, I repeatedly failed. I had sweats, shakes, hallucinations, anxiety, pain, but fear had me.
The relief I felt from the moment I arrived is indescribable. I was treated with respect, love, kindness, and dignity from the moment I arrived. DH truly has thought of every detail to assist us addicts and alcoholics gain a foothold on this disease. Every activity is designed to assist us with getting our lives back.
One beauty of the program at DH is the introduction to several programs of recovery, for example; AA, Celebrate Recovery, NA, SMART Recovery, LifeRing, and Refuge Recovery. Attending these meetings helped me find where I fit. Today I do both AA and Celebrate Recovery and this is what is working for me.
Diamond House worked on my whole recovery and has set me on a path to success and peace. They treat each person as an individual. I was medically detoxed and my addictions, PTSD and depression were treated.
There is not enough gratitude I could show or say to cover the gifts I have received. I HAVE MY FAMILY BACK, I have self confidence, and the shame I walked in with and have always felt has been lifted.
I still work hard to maintain myself, my sobriety and be productive in this world. Diamond House Detox provided the foundation I needed for success. The comfort and amenities provided are too many to mention. The food is nothing short of amazing. The spacious comfortable rooms afford us the opportunity for alone time to reflect on assignments or hard issues we are working on. Outside assistance was brought in to assist me with my PTSD. What ever the issues is, Diamond House will address it and provide the individual attention some of us need
have been given a miracle and a new path forward…THE RIGHT PATH. Thank you Diamond House.
Having been in and out of multiple rehabs. This place is by far the best one I have been to. This is the most individualized program I have been to. There is no way to get lost in the shuffle of a facility with more clients than staff. The staff looks at the clients as people not as dollar signs. The atmosphere is safe and very home-like. The program is multi-layered to promote whole healing from your mind, body and spirit. Thank you so much to the staff for allowing me to grow and be the man I was created to be
Having been a frequent flyer to various facilities for treatment of my disease of alcoholism, I was disillusioned and skeptical as to whether I was simply a broken object that could not be fixed. I vowed to keep fighting and was blessed with the miraculous opportunity to pilgrimage to the Utopia that they call Diamond House. From the moment I ente
ed, I deserted the Jurassic Park of the so-called real world and was immediately transported into a spectacular oasis of recovery.Where do I begin? The ambience and decor are simultaneously breathtaking and comforting. “Am in the Matrix or some alternate universe?” I questioned myself. I certainly was not in Kansas anymore. The single-occupancy rooms, and I repeat single-occupancy, were both spacious and homely with privately attached bathrooms acting as the proverbial icing on the cake. Facilities included, but not limited to hot tubs, a full-length basketball court, ping-pong table, access to a world-class gym, and plenty of gorgeous outdoor seating to meditate or simply bask in the sun.
The nutritional component of the program is without parallel. Mouthwatering dishes prepared from scratch by Executive Chef Raven were absolutely to die for. Mad props to her and her culinary prowess. Plan on packing on some healthy pounds while a resident. I personally regained my passion for gastronomy that I had lost somewhere through the course of my addiction.
The caliber of the treatment regime is the real star of the show. Individualized treatment plans target the crux of the problem as opposed to simply placing a bandage on the superficial wound. The ratio of the staff to clients is remarkable as Diamond only houses six individuals at a time. Groups are thought-provoking and life-altering. The skills being taught are applicable to people of all walks of life, addict or not. The counselors are all well-trained and certified to combat all forms and levels of addiction. They are warm, cordial and truly do care about your success in recovery. Co-existing Mental Health Disorders are treated in a professional and confidential manner with pharmacological interventions, individualized or group therapy or all of the above.
Without question, this would be THE recovery facility I would recommend to anyone suffering from the same malady as me. Words cannot begin to express the amount of gratitude I possess for Diamond House and all of the staff employed. I owe my life to you. Thank you sincerely and from the bottom of my heart.
I am on my last day at Diamond house. I went to the detox house for 7 days and the main rehab house for 30. I cannot stress enough how great this place is. It really is in a league of its own. The staff here absolutely care about you and how you are doing in all aspects. The groups are engaging and I’ve learned more about myself in the last 37 days than I have in the last 14 years that I’ve been using. I’ve never felt so confident in my own skin and clear-headed. Every aspect of my stay was 10/10. You get your own room, with your own TV in the rehab house with your own bathroom. We get to go to the gym 6 days a week and 3 home-cooked meals a day by our own chefs Bobby and Raven. The food is OUTSTANDING! Vicky and her staff are very very knowledgeable and I cannot thank them enough. I have a new lease on life and I plan on coming back to visit and give back as they have given me a new lease on life. THANK YOU SO MUCH DIAMOND HOUSE, YOU ROCK!!
This place was amazing from the chefs to the staff I felt no judgement and all the groups like AA NA plus many more are essential in my recovery the home was very spacious and I’ve heard about other detox and rehabs and this one was the best by far because of the knowledge I learned about my addiction I highly recommend this place if your serious about your recovery.
Everyone is awesome!! 5 Stars! I had a blessed time staying here for my 37-day detox and residential. Thank you so much to the whole staff and chef Bobby and Raven for always cooking the best meals. I’m going to miss Diamond House Sacramento. A+
I am on my last day of my 30 day treatment here at Diamond House and feel compelled to write this to anyone thinking of coming here or sending a loved one here. I won the lottery when I landed here….they actually care about their clients, unlike any other rehab I have heard of. There are only 6 rooms so you get attention including one on one sessions with your counsellors (who are wonderful by the way). I went from wanting to leave this place on day 7…thinking I knew it all… to wanting to stay when I realized I didn’t. They teach you the skills you must have to have a chance when you go back into real life. I owe them my life now and feel confident in my recovery. Their motto is to treat their clients like family and they do just that. There is no other place like this and I thank god I landed here. I tell the new people here they won the lottery by getting here and I honestly mean that.
Extremely nice facility. Great staff. Very comfortable. Great food from chef Bobby! This is my first residential, I’ve heard horror stories. Diamond House Detox is an amazing place to detox and 30 day residential. Very structured and laid back, meetings are set up well. Blessed to have gotten to stay here at Sacramento’s Diamond house detox!! Hope I never have to come back but if I do I know where to go. Thank you DHD center. A+++
Coming to Diamond House was the best decision I’ve made for myself in a very long time. I immediately felt understood and received a diagnosis and a personalized treatment plan which is now a way of life for my sobriety. Diamond House philosophy is not just theoretical but practical. You live the commitment. The staff treats you with respect, support, care, and compassion, not just as a client but as a family member. You almost forget they are qualified professionals. Lifesaver is not just a candy…it’s a result of the Diamond House commitment
